Let’s Make This Card
Step 1. Cut 1/2″ Paper Strips
You can use any colors you like but I like having a lighter color on top of a darker shade in the same/similar color. It makes it feel almost like ribbon.
Step 2. Cut a 2″ x 5.5″ panel from DCS Caribbean Blue and start “braiding”
I start with one of the darker strips. You can adhere this down at any angle. I use a piece of scrap (white) cardstock that’s ~1″ wide as a spacer. This is what I use as a spacer to keep everything parallel and equally spaced.
Step 3. Next, add the top layer of the braid
With the lighter strips, you want to connect the left (bottom) of one strip (Pop Tone Cotton Candy) to the right (top) of the next strip (DCS Hydrangea Purple). I use alternating colors and repeat the pattern.
Step 4. I cut 1/4″ strips of DCS Hydrangea Purple to use as borders for my 2″ panel
It can help to use a T-Ruler to get this strip down straight. I spaced a second strip so it will land on the opposite side of the panel. I adhere these directly onto an A2 card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″, folded).
Step 5. Adhere Braided Panel with foam between the 2 purple strips.

Step 6. Adhere the Circle Sentiment.
This is from the Pink & Main Layered Scallop Circle die set. I cut the scallops out of Pop Tone Cotton Candy and DCS Hydrangea Purple. The circle with the sentiment cut is cut from DCS Caribbean Blue. A second circle in Cougar White is layered below the sentiment.
I finished this with some glitter enamel dots.
