This is such a fun kit! The dies are pretty unique to anything I have in my stash. They actually do a partial die cut and there are several different sizes in butterflies and flowers. The butterflies just cut the wings but leave the body attached to the card. The flowers also have some extra dimension that’s created with some partial die-cutting.… Read the rest
I was so excited to dive into this kit. I have a few other boxes I haven’t even opened, but I wanted to get straight into this box because I had been eyeing the “character-over-the-edge” dies for a while now. And I love them all so it’s so hard to just get one or two — I want them ALL!
I love the Build-A-Character line of dies from Crafter’s Companion. I find it easier and more fun than stamping a coloring. Because of the layering, you often still get some dimension. I’ve never used Crafter’s Companion “Create-A-Card” dies before. I am; however, familiar with Tonic Studio’s “verso” dies, and these are pretty similar. These are wonderfully versatile dies. This was a super fun kit to work with. I really like the Edge’ables line of dies that Crafter’s Companion offers. It really does allow you to create really lovely, impressive cards. Also, it’s nice to know you can use them to create pop-outs on the inside of your card! I actually haven’t done much decoupaging where you line up multiple layers of the same image to build up dimension. I was looking forward to this kit for that reason. What’s really cool is that this kit not only comes with pre-printed decoupage sheets but it also comes with a stamp set that allows you to stamp and color more images.… Read the rest
