I dived into this kit and I love it! In my earlier blog post with the comparison table of monthly card kits, I mentioned I was going to buy some kits and try them before subscribing. That’s just what I’ve done and now I have a LOT of card kits. 🙂 Most — maybe all — of them were purchased at huge discounts when they’ve gone on sale.… Read the rest

Father’s Day Cards
Father’s Day is coming up and I’m happy to say that I’m on top of it this year! My video below is a showcase and not a full make. I only needed to make 3 cards, so I didn’t do a FLIP but rather just went wherever inspiration took me. 🙂 I did personalize these cards for the fathers in my life, so they may not be your standard father’s day cards, but that’s the benefit of handcrafting cards — being able to customize and personalize the card to the recipient.… Read the rest
Trinket Box Mini Album
If you’re looking for a quick gift idea, this Trinket Box mini album comes together very quickly and is a great gift for all ages.
Below is my showcase video, which walks through the mini album pages and afterwards I show you all the supplies I used – except I forgot to mention the Love from Lizi pinstripe stickers I used on the photo mat inserts.… Read the rest
2-in-1 Mini Album with Tonic Studios Book of Special Memories Keepsake Insert
I ordered this awesome die set from CraftStash a while ago and it finally arrived! I had to dive in and make a mini album straightaway. This set is one of many die sets in Tonic Studio’s Memory Book series. There are actually three different Keepsake Insert sets. I only have the Book of Special Memories but I love it so much, I may just have to get the other two now!… Read the rest
Sizzix Mini Album Tutorial
I have five nieces and four of them have birthdays the next couple months, so for presents this year I’m making them mini albums! My hope is they’ll enjoy filling the album with photos and every birthday I’ll give them a new album to commemorate that age.
I have two videos to share – one is a showcase walkthrough of one of the albums.… Read the rest
FLIP: Mother’s Day
Mother’s day is coming and this year I even got a head start! Good thing too because I had a few “oopsies” and had to make 2 cards multiple times to get the look I wanted.
Here’s my FLIP tutorial video showing how I made all my cards. It’s super sped up so is a short video even though it shows the entire process for all 5 cards.… Read the rest
Tutorial: Swatchbook Method 1
If you saw my Rose Quartz Swatchbook showcase video and you were curious how to make one for yourself, check out this video. I’m swatching a new designer paper pad I recently got on Amazon. I’ve never heard of the brand, but the quality and design are pretty nice. The only odd thing is the consistency of the paper weight.… Read the rest
Paper Collection Swatch Book
I was going through all my paper collections trying to get organized and maybe use up paper packs. But I felt oddly precious about all of my papers — I wanted to save a sheet from each pack just so I could see the unique designs. In particular, I got a lot of mileage (a.k.a… Read the rest
Recipe Mini Album Book
I started making mini albums with the ultimate goal in mind of creating my own wedding album. I’ve discovered a lot of dies (e.g. Tonic Studio’s Memory Books) that you can use to make gorgeous and elaborate memory books. I’ve ordered several, but they haven’t arrived yet, so in the meantime, I’m going back to basics and made a few albums from scratch – all hand-cut.… Read the rest
DIY Foam Adhesive Tape
I love using foam adhesive tape to add dimension to my cards. If you don’t add too many layers of foam, they can go through USPS without extra postage. Before creating my own, I used it rather sparingly because the brand name tape can be expensive — at least compared to other adhesives.… Read the rest
