Motion Crafts – Animated Tag

This Motion Crafts Animated Tag kit is really fantastic! It’s useful well beyond the animated image feature. I got it directly from the Motion Crafts website, but I don’t know if it’s still available for sale.

The kit comes with everything you need to create fun, interactive, animated tags. There are a lot of things I love about it:

  • This stamp & die set can be used for regular tags as well.

Custom Word-Edged Easel Cards

Turn your word or alphabet dies into fun custom-edged easel cards. While you can buy word edge dies, give the alphabet or word dies in your stash some new life by using them as edgers.

Card Making

Tips & Tricks

  • When you line up your top cutting plate, be sure to look at where the cutting edge is and make sure you leave some of the bottom edge uncovered (so it doesn’t get cut)
  • You can also put your die cutting-edge up on your paper and draw two reference lines — one at the bottom of the die (so you know where to line up your dies) and one where the bottom cutting edge (so you know how to line up your top cutting plate to avoid cutting the bottom edge)
  • It’s best if you can leave at least 2-3 spots across your die still attached at the bottom to give it extra stability.

This particular die set is actually perfect for gift cards, and it’s great in general even if you don’t use it with the animated stamp.

After I put the candies in, I found the lid isn’t secure enough to hold the candy in. I had to make more advent calendars in a hurry and didn’t have time to redesign this one, so I ended up making the rest of my advent calendars in the first style.

Cards Using Crafter’s Companion Box Kit 13 – Flower Forming

Flower forming with foam (or foamiran) is a first for me. I was excited but also a little nervous to try this new method–especially since it involves a hot iron. After my first flower, I was hooked! I’ve since purchased a couple of different flower foams from different companies so I can compare and contrast before settling on a brand.
