Holiday Card with Super Easy Gift Card Holder

Do you give out a lot of gift cards? Sometimes for the holidays I like to give gift cards to folks who I regularly interact with but maybe don’t typically tip – like my postal worker.

This card is really easy and doubles as a holiday card and a gift card holder!

Let’s Make This Card

Step 1. Create a top-folding A2 Card

Cut Pop Tone Hot Fudge to 4.25″ x 11″. Score along the 11″ edge at 5.5″. Folded, your card should be 4.25″ x 5.5″.

Step 2. Cut a 1″ slit asking the left side of the card front

Step 3. Cut two pieces of Pop Tone Wild Cherry to 13/16″ x 5-5/16″ and 3-1/16 x 5-5/16″

The narrower piece will go on the narrow flap (left) and the wider piece will go on the wider flap (right)

Step 4. Apply about 1″ of adhesive to the top and bottom of the back of the strip. Glue down to the inside of the card.

This flap forms a pocket that you will tuck your gift card holder into.

Step 5. Cut Cougar White panel to 3-1/16 x 5-5/16″. Adhere to the inside so you have a panel to stamp or write a message.

Step 6. Cut a piece of DCS Sand Castle to 2.75″ x 5″. Cut a layer of pattern paper to 2.5″ x 4.75″.

Step 7. Frame a focal image in Pop Tone Hot Fudge.

Step 8. White heat emboss a sentiment onto Pop Tone Wild Cherry.

I added low profile foam to the back of the focal image but only to the side that will go over the right flap. Then adhere your sentiment.

Step 6. Slide a Gift card inside!

I made two! I couldn’t decide if the pocket was better on the left or the right. What do you think?
