DIY Foam Adhesive Tape

I love using foam adhesive tape to add dimension to my cards. If you don’t add too many layers of foam, they can go through USPS without extra postage. Before creating my own, I used it rather sparingly because the brand name tape can be expensive — at least compared to other adhesives.

My dilemma however was that I didn’t like the uneven surface created by just adding foam to the perimeter of a die cut or sentiment strip. That’s what drove me to source a foam adhesive tape at a price point that I feel comfortable using generously.

I found some alternative foam tapes that were reasonably priced, but ultimately, I made my own using foam sheets and double-sided adhesive tape. This allowed me to create a variety of strip sizes and even use full sheets if needed. It’s so versatile and still very cost effective!
