I’ve started to use a guillotine cutter instead of a rotary trimmer. They come in a variety of sizes, so I’m going to include several in my shop so you have some options. I have the Fiskars 12″ (the one shown here) because I need to cut down 12″ x 12″ card and chipboard. I want to try the Tonic Studios guillotine trimmer but it was a bit out of my budget. I wouldn’t consider it expensive necessarily but it was just more than I wanted to pay at the time. So far I’m happy with my Fiskars. The blade says that it’s self-sharpening and doesn’t need replacement, so we’ll see!
