Description
I try to stay as organized as I can with my crafting. When I watch craft room tours posted by other crafters, I realize how my “organization” pales in comparison (you won’t be seeing a tour of my “craft room” any time soon).
Because I don’t craft for a living, I don’t have a specially built out craft room. Much of my storage is rather mobile and and makeshift. There are a few things I can’t live without though because they’ve really help keep things in order.
I found these mesh zipper pouches. It’s so affordable but has become an invaluable storage solution for me. I love that they come in different colors and two different sizes. At any given point, I have have multiple projects in progress. I get a lot of ideas but don’t always have the time to work on them. What I do is I start collecting materials for my projects in these mesh zipper pouches. The larger pouch can comfortable hold standard 8.5″ x 11″ paper. I gather cardstock, dies, stamp sets, embossing folders, card layouts, fun fold instructions — everything I think I might need for the project. All of that goes into the large pouch. Then in the small pouch (in the same color), I’ll put smaller things like embellishments, die cuts that I’ve cut & colored, even markers that I think I need if I haven’t yet colored the die cuts. Sometimes I’ve even prototyped the card I want to make, so I’ll drop those in too. Then when I have the time to sit down and make my cards, I have nearly everything I need. I guess in a sense I’ve been creating my own card kits. Who knew!
