I decided to start making mini albums for my family. In particular, I want to make the Sizzix Mini Album for my nieces and nephews on their birthday so they can commemorate each age. That’s the idea anyhow. We’ll see how interested they are in actually filling out the albums. LOL. I’ve already put together a few and they come together so quickly (especially compared to hand-cut and hand-wrapped albums made from scratch). I think I can easily make these each year for the kiddos. Hopefully they love them. I know I would have loved having these as a kid.
This is another cute album embellishment die set. Similar to the I Heart This set, the scale of this set will work better on larger albums though (which I do plan to make). It’ll be nice to have slightly large tags and frames for photo mats. However, the smaller dies in this set are great for the 4×6 Sizzix Mini Album. I used the arrow with the circle around it as a “paperclip”. If you glue the circle frame down but leave the arrow unglued, it can be a really cute tuck spot to slip a photo under. And without the photo it’s still a cute embellishment!
I’m definitely looking forward to making larger albums from dies. I currently hand-cut and wrap my mini albums but the dies will give a more interesting edge / page shape and I suspect will come together faster. I ordered several of the Tonic Studios memory book dies from CraftStash. They ship from the UK, so they haven’t arrived yet, but when they come, this photo frame & speech bubble die set is going to be perfect!
