Hi and thank you for discovering my blog. This is new to me, so I welcome your support and tips for making this blog more fun and hopefully even useful.
I have always been crafty, but as a woman in technology (software and video games), I put much of that aside. I had a wonderful career and enjoyed my job but there were parts of it that I didn’t love. Mostly, it was the time it took away from all the other things I wanted to do. Now, as a consultant, I not only LOVE my job but I also have the work-life balance I’ve been striving for. I slowly brought crafting and making back into my life over the past few years and I’m so happy I did!
Now, I dabble in a variety of things – leather crafting, soap making, and of course card making and paper crafting! I’ve been scrapbooking since I was in high school, so it’s been a love of mine for a while now. I have had so much fun paper crafting as an adult. Back then, I couldn’t afford much, but now I get to explore so many more products, designs and materials! I’m like a kid in a candy store!
I do have a bit of a fear of putting myself out there — my writing, my card designs, etc. I’m probably more shy than I like to admit. However, I started this blog for several reasons:
- I love paper crafting
- I want to learn more from other crafters like you
- I respect how other makers put their work out there to inspire others and I’m hoping to contribute in my own small way
- I’m hopeful that perhaps I can earn a little money so I can buy even more crafting supplies. =D
Hopefully, number 4 doesn’t turn you off, but I do want to be honest. I’m sure my husband thinks I have an addiction what with how often we get deliveries of craft supplies. Little does he know, I’m only buying 10% of what I *want* to buy.
