I fell in love with making mini albums using the Spellbinders card kits after the mini-album I made using the “Love the Moment” kit. I kept thinking of different page layouts I could create using the card bases provided in the kit and I just had to make another album.

F.L.I.P. Using Tonic Studios Craft Kit #33 – White Wonderland
I love everything that came in this craft kit! In fact, when I saw the unboxing, I knew I’d love it. It’s the first kit (from any brand) I’ve purchased at release instead of on sale way after the fact. LOL.
I’ll be making many more cards with this kit, but for now I have 4 cards – Flat, Layered, Interactive and Pop-up.… Read the rest
MEGA FLIP – 40+ Cards Using Spellbinders Merry Everything Card Kit
I did a MEGA FLIP using Spellbinder’s amazing Merry Everything Card Kit. This kit has a LOT more than the standard monthly card kit. My goal was to use up as much of the kit contents as possible and I came pretty close to it!
In my FLIP showcase video, you’ll see 39 cards in a variety of styles – Flat, Layered, Interactive and Pop-Up.… Read the rest
Mini-Album – Carta Bella’s Flower Market Paper & Tonic Studios Life’s Journey Die Sets
I had so much fun creating this mini-album for my mother-in-law. I loved it so much, I almost wanted to keep it in the end. Rest assured, I did send it off to my MIL. π Check out my Mini Album Gallery for photos of this album (and others).
I did get my husband’s opinion a lot along the way.… Read the rest
Mixed Media Cards
The other day, I sat down to just play with some of my media supplies, and I thought it would be fun to create some cards.
For most of the cards I did some variation of inking a background panel and then used some modeling paste through a stencil over the background.… Read the rest
Mini-Album With Spellbinders Card Kit – Love the Moment (Jan 2020)
My earlier post featuring the encouragement cards I made using the Spellbinder’s Card Kit of the Month – Hang With Me showcased my first project using a Spellbinders card kit. At the time, I reserved judgment on the Spellbinder’s card kits until I had a chance to use it for more projects.… Read the rest
Mini-Album With Graphic 45’s Ladies Diary DCE
When I saw the Graphic 45 Ladies Diary Deluxe Collector’s Edition paper pack, I knew I had to make a mini album for my mom. She used to sew for a wedding dress designer, and the illustrations of these gorgeous women in all their different style dresses reminds me of the dress patterns my mom used to buy.… Read the rest
20+ Cards with Spellbinders – Aug 2019 Kit – Hang With Me
I dived into this kit and I love it! In my earlier blog post with the comparison table of monthly card kits, I mentioned I was going to buy some kits and try them before subscribing. That’s just what I’ve done and now I have a LOT of card kits. π Most — maybe all — of them were purchased at huge discounts when they’ve gone on sale.… Read the rest
Father’s Day Cards
Father’s Day is coming up and I’m happy to say that I’m on top of it this year! My video below is a showcase and not a full make. I only needed to make 3 cards, so I didn’t do a FLIP but rather just went wherever inspiration took me. π I did personalize these cards for the fathers in my life, so they may not be your standard father’s day cards, but that’s the benefit of handcrafting cards — being able to customize and personalize the card to the recipient.… Read the rest
Impressions of Scrapping for Less Monthly Card Kit
Since my original posts where I compared monthly card kit “specs”, I’ve purchased several kits. I haven’t subscribed to any, but I’ve been on the lookout for when these kits go on sale so I can snag a couple… well, I’ve snagged more than just a couple.
Here’s what I’ve purchased (my shop has photos of the ones I purchased):
- Altenew – 2 kits
- Hero Arts – 1 kit
- Pink and Main – 3 kits
- Scrapping for Less – 2 kits
- Spellbinders – 7 kits (they had their Spring Clearance sale and the kits were selling for only $15/each!
